It’s important to stay hydrated no matter the weather, but especially as the days get warmer and we spend more time outside. This week, here in Wisconsin, and across the country, a heat wave has set in. Last week I mentioned why consuming water is important. I forgot that I wanted to add a list of ways to help make that easier. See the list below.
Tips on how to drink more water
Use a straw (reusable of course) – helps you drink more
Flavor it with fruit, herbs or vegetables like cucumber - just a like water from a spa!
Fill large metal water canister (never plastic) and leave in your car for refills so you always have it
Schedule fluid breaks – set a time on your phone or watch
Signs of dehydration
There are several ways your body tells you that you are dehydrated, not just by getting thirsty. It is a good idea to know the signs.
